I'm considering buying some merino wool tee shirts for summer travel, but I'm not sure if they're really cool enough for hot weather. I've heard they're great for temperature regulation, but does that hold up in extreme summer heat? Has anyone traveled in merino wool shirts during summer? How did they perform compared to cotton or synthetic fabrics? Would love to get some real-world feedback before I make a purchase.

Merino wool is surprisingly versatile! While it might seem counterintuitive, it’s excellent for summer because it wicks moisture and regulates body temperature really well. I’ve worn merino tees in hot climates, and they felt lighter and less sticky than cotton or synthetics. Plus, they resist odors, which is a huge bonus for travel. Have you thought about trying one out on a shorter trip first to see how it works for you?
