I'm planning a trip to Iceland but my budget is a bit tight. I've heard that accommodations can get pretty pricey, especially during peak season. Can anyone recommend some affordable places to stay that still offer a great experience? I'm looking for options ranging from hostels to guesthouses. Iceland can be pricey, but there are definitely affordable options! For hostels, check out Kex Hostel in Reykjavik; it has a great atmosphere and is centrally located. For guesthouses, consider staying at Guesthouse Sunna or Hlemmur Square. Both offer good rates and comfort. As for booking, try to book at least a few months in advance to snag the best deals, and consider visiting in the shoulder seasons (late spring or early fall) for lower rates.
