Question Best Areas to Stay in London for First-Timers?

Hello! My husband and I are traveling to London at the end of March with a couple of friends. We are all first-time visitors and a bit overwhelmed by all the accommodation options. We're looking for a neighborhood that's central, has good transport links, and is close to major attractions, but also has a local vibe with nice cafes and pubs. We've heard good things about areas like Camden, Shoreditch, and Kensington, but not sure which would suit us best. Any recommendations on where to stay in London that balances convenience with a bit of local charm?

For first-timers, I’d recommend staying in Covent Garden or South Bank. Both areas are super central, with easy access to major attractions like the London Eye and the West End. They also have a great mix of local charm, with cozy cafes and lively pubs. Plus, the transport links are excellent. Have you considered these areas?
