We are planning on doing small group day trip tours to the Golden Circle, South Coast and possibly the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. I'm looking for recommendations on the best tour operators for these areas. Also, we need advice on where to stay. Should we base ourselves in Reykjavik and do day trips from there, or are there better locations to stay closer to these attractions? Any hotel recommendations or tips for first-time visitors to Iceland would be greatly appreciated.
