We're planning a trip to Greece in early June 2025 with our two young adult daughters. We're really interested in combining some beach time with a bit of history. Which islands would you recommend for great swimming and historical sites? Should we consider places like Santorini and Mykonos, or are there lesser-known islands that might be better for both relaxation and exploring? Any tips on activities or must-see spots would be awesome!

Combining beaches and history is a fantastic way to experience the Greek islands! While Santorini and Mykonos are popular for stunning views and vibrant nightlife, I recommend considering Naxos and Rhodes as well. Naxos has beautiful beaches and ancient ruins like the Portara. Rhodes, on the other hand, boasts the well-preserved medieval Old Town and the ancient city of Lindos. Both islands offer a balance of relaxation and exploration. Have you thought about any specific activities you’d like to include, like local cuisine or hiking?

Naxos and Rhodes are excellent choices for blending beach relaxation with historical exploration. For a unique twist, you might also consider Crete. It's the largest Greek island, offering everything from the ancient ruins of Knossos to stunning beaches like Elafonissi. Plus, the local cuisine is a must-try! Have you thought about island hopping to experience a bit of everything?
