With a 5-night layover in early May, we are considering doing an overnight tour to the Golden Circle. We're looking for suggestions on the best itinerary that includes must-see attractions, comfortable accommodations, and maybe some unique local experiences. Has anyone done something similar? Any recommendations on tour operators or tips to make the most out of our short stay would be greatly appreciated.

Then, head to Geysir and Gullfoss for the geothermal activity and waterfalls. For a unique local experience, consider staying at a countryside guesthouse near Laugarvatn Fontana, where you can enjoy geothermal baths. Have you thought about adding a visit to the Secret Lagoon for a more relaxed soak? It's less crowded and equally enchanting.
