I'm looking for a backup pair of shoes to pack for our trip to Italy in April. My main travel shoes are great, but I need something reliable for walking on those infamous cobblestone streets. Any recommendations on styles or brands that are both comfortable and sturdy enough for this kind of terrain? Plus, if you have any tips on breaking them in before the trip, that would be awesome too!

For cobblestone streets, I'd recommend shoes with good arch support and a sturdy sole, like Ecco or Clarks. They offer styles that balance comfort and durability. Breaking them in is key—wear them on short walks or around the house for a couple of weeks before your trip. Have you considered packing a pair of gel insoles for extra comfort?
