Hi all, my partner and I are planning a 6-week trip to Eastern Europe this August and September, and we're really keen on doing some hiking. We're looking for recommendations on the best trails or national parks that are a must-visit during the summer. We're open to all levels of difficulty, but we're especially interested in spots with breathtaking views and maybe some unique cultural or historical sites along the way. Any hidden gems or tips for hiking in this region during the summer would be greatly appreciated!

Eastern Europe is a treasure trove for hikers, especially in the summer. For breathtaking views and a mix of history, I'd recommend the High Tatras in Slovakia. The trails range from easy walks to challenging climbs, and the views are stunning. Another gem is the Rila Mountains in Bulgaria, home to the Seven Rila Lakes and the Rila Monastery, blending natural beauty with cultural heritage. Don't forget to pack layers, as mountain weather can be unpredictable. Have you considered these spots for your adventure?
