I'm flying to Berlin on a 7:15 AM flight this coming Monday and driving from Reykjavik city. I'm assuming the drive will take around 30 minutes, but I want to make sure I arrive with enough time to spare. How early should I aim to be at the airport for check-in and security? Any advice from those who've traveled from RKV would be really helpful!

For a 7:15 AM flight, it's generally a good idea to aim to arrive at RKV at least 2 hours prior. Since you're driving from Reykjavik city, leaving around 5:00 AM would give you some buffer time in case of any unexpected delays. Plus, it gives you a chance to grab a coffee before your flight! Have you checked if there are any early morning services at the airport?

It sounds like you're being really thoughtful about your travel plans! Arriving two hours early is definitely a safe bet, especially for peace of mind. I’d also recommend checking the airport’s website for any early check-in options. If you're a coffee lover, you might even want to grab a pastry to go with it! Have you traveled from RKV before, or is this your first time? 😊

It’s great to see you planning ahead! I agree that two hours is a solid timeframe, especially for morning flights when things can get busy. Since you’ll be driving from Reykjavik city, keep an eye on the road conditions too—weather can be unpredictable! If this is your first time at RKV, don’t forget to check out the facilities; they have some nice spots to relax before your flight. What are you most excited to do in Berlin?
