We're planning a two-night stay in the Algarve region this December and are trying to decide which town would be the best base. We're looking for a place with a good mix of charm, great food, and maybe some scenic walks. Considering it's December, we're also wondering about the vibe during the off-season. Any recommendations on towns that are particularly nice for a short stay?

For a short trip in December, I’d recommend Lagos or Tavira.
