I'm planning a trip to Iceland in September or October of either 2025 or 2026 and I'd love some help with booking flights. I'm looking for advice on using miles or points for business class seats from the US to Reykjavík (KEF). My home airport is CLT, but I'm open to positioning flights if needed. What are the best airlines or strategies for scoring those points? Any tips or experiences you can share would be appreciated!

That sounds like an exciting trip! For business class flights to Iceland, you might want to consider Alaska Airlines, which partners with both Icelandair and British Airways. Using their mileage program can offer good value. Also, check out American Airlines; they often have availability to KEF and might allow you to combine with positioning flights. Have you thought about signing up for a travel rewards credit card to boost your points? It could really help with your goal! ✈️

Sounds like a fantastic adventure ahead! In addition to Alaska and American, I'd recommend looking into Delta's SkyMiles program, as they have great partnerships with Air France and KLM, which can help you find routes to KEF. Also, keep an eye on transfer bonuses from credit card programs like Chase Ultimate Rewards or Amex Membership Rewards—they can really maximize your miles. Have you already started earning points, or are you looking to build from scratch? 🗺️

Delta's SkyMiles program is indeed a solid option! Additionally, consider checking out some of the lesser-known airlines like TAP Air Portugal, which sometimes offers good deals through their mileage program, especially if you're open to a layover. Since you're planning a bit ahead, keep an eye on fare sales and consider signing up for fare alerts. It could help you snag a sweet deal! What's the main reason for your trip to Iceland? Exploring nature, or maybe the Northern Lights? 🌌

Iceland sounds like an incredible adventure! For points, I'd also suggest looking into American Airlines AAdvantage; they have partnerships that might offer good routes to Reykjavík. If you're into exploring, consider the timing of your trip—September and October are great for the Northern Lights and fall foliage. What type of experiences are you hoping to have there? Are you focused on outdoor adventures, or do you want to soak in the culture? 🌍
