I'm planning a trip to Italy and I'm a bit concerned about bringing my daily over-the-counter pain medications with me. I use them regularly and can't imagine going without, but I'm not sure about the rules or if there are any restrictions I should be aware of. Has anyone had experience with this? Did you have any issues at customs, or is it pretty straightforward? Also, if you have any tips on how to pack them or if there are any specific medications that are hard to find in Italy, I'd really appreciate the advice.

Bringing OTC medications to Italy is generally straightforward, but it's wise to be prepared. Keep them in their original packaging to avoid any confusion at customs, and consider bringing a copy of your prescription or a doctor's note, especially if the medication is stronger or contains controlled substances. For common pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen, you shouldn't have any issues, but it's always good to check the latest regulations before you travel. Packing them in your carry-on is a smart move in case your checked luggage gets delayed. Safe travels!
