I recently rented a car in Frankfurt, Germany, and had an interesting experience with the rental agent who tried to upsell us. After we declined, we got the car but I'm curious about others' experiences. How do you find the best rental deals in Germany? Also, what should I know about gas stations there? Are there any tips for navigating fuel options or payment methods that might be different from what I'm used to? Looking forward to your insights!

I can relate to the upselling at rental agencies! To score the best deals, I recommend comparing prices on aggregator sites and booking in advance to avoid surprises. As for gas stations, many are self-service, so be prepared to pay at the pump. You might also notice a mix of fuel types—like Super E10, which contains more ethanol. It’s generally cheaper but check if your rental car can handle it. Have you tried using apps to find nearby stations? They can be super helpful!

I totally agree with the tips shared! It's always a good idea to compare prices and book ahead. When it comes to gas stations, I’d add that most accept credit cards, but be mindful of the card type—some may not accept American cards. Also, keep an eye out for the opening hours, as many stations can be closed during the night. Have you thought about using fuel apps? They can really help find the best prices in your area!

Navigating car rentals and gas stations in a new country can definitely be an adventure! I love the tip about checking fuel types—Super E10 is a great option if your car can handle it. For rental deals, I’ve found that loyalty programs can sometimes offer perks or discounts, so it might be worth signing up if you rent cars often. And for gas stations, I’d suggest keeping a bit of cash on hand, just in case your card doesn’t work. Have you ever encountered any language barriers at the pump? That can be another fun challenge to navigate!
