My wife and I are planning to visit Wales in October 2025. We have traveled extensively in the UK, but this will be our first time in Wales. We're torn between staying in Cardigan or St. Davids for our 2-night stay. We're looking for a mix of history, scenic beauty, and maybe some local culture. Does anyone have insights on which town might offer a better experience for a short stay? Any hidden gems or must-visit spots in either location?

Both Cardigan and St. Davids are fantastic choices, but for a 2-night stay, I’d lean towards St. Davids. It’s the UK’s smallest city and has a magical, almost spiritual vibe with its stunning cathedral and coastal walks. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path nearby offers breathtaking views. Cardigan is charming too, with its castle and artsy vibe, but St. Davids feels more unique for a short trip. Have you considered the time of year? October in St. Davids can be quite serene and less crowded.
