I tested positive for COVID upon returning from my trip to Paris and the heart of France from June 20-30, 2023. I had to extend my stay in Paris by 2 additional days due to this. Has anyone else experienced testing positive after traveling? How did you manage the situation, especially with accommodations and flights? Any advice on dealing with travel insurance claims for COVID-related issues would also be appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Testing positive after a trip can be really stressful, especially when it comes to managing accommodations and flights. When I was in a similar situation, I found that reaching out to my airline and hotel directly was helpful—they were often more flexible than expected. For travel insurance, make sure to document everything, from your test results to any communication with service providers. It might take some time, but persistence pays off. Did you find any particular challenges with your insurance claim process?

It's tough dealing with COVID after a trip, but you're not alone. When I was in a similar spot, I found that airlines and hotels were surprisingly understanding, especially with proper documentation. For insurance, keeping a detailed record of all communications and test results was key. It can be a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it in the end. How was your experience with the insurance claim process? Any tips for others who might face this situation?
