We are thinking of going to Croatia the second week of March and Italy thereafter. We have been considering starting in Dubrovnik and then heading to Split, but I’m curious about other must-visit spots in Croatia during that time. Any recommendations for beautiful places or hidden gems to check out? Also, how’s the weather usually in March? Would love to hear your suggestions and tips!

March is a great time to visit Croatia before the summer crowds! Dubrovnik and Split are fantastic starting points, but don’t miss Plitvice Lakes National Park for its stunning waterfalls and trails. For a hidden gem, consider the island of Hvar—it’s quieter in March but still charming. Weather-wise, expect mild temperatures (10-15°C) and occasional rain, so pack layers. Have you thought about adding a coastal drive along the Dalmatian Coast for breathtaking views?
