Hello, I'm considering a day trip to Ephesus from Istanbul and wondering if it's feasible and worth the effort. Has anyone done this? How did you manage the travel time, and what was your experience like? I'm particularly interested in knowing if the journey is too rushed or if there's enough time to explore Ephesus properly. Any tips on transportation or must-see spots in Ephesus would be greatly appreciated!

A day trip from Istanbul to Ephesus is definitely ambitious but doable if you plan well. The flight from Istanbul to Izmir is about an hour, and then it's another hour to Ephesus by car. While it’s a long day, the ancient ruins are absolutely worth it. Focus on the Library of Celsus and the Great Theater—they’re stunning. Just make sure to book early flights and consider hiring a guide to maximize your time. Have you thought about staying overnight in Izmir to make it less rushed?
