We have a rental car reserved, but I keep reading that driving might not be a good idea if the weather turns sour. Can anyone share their experiences or tips on dealing with bad weather while renting a car? What kind of conditions should we be particularly cautious about, and how did you handle it? Any advice would be super helpful!

Driving in bad weather can be tricky, especially with a rental car you're not familiar with. Rain and fog are common issues, but snow and ice are the real challenges. Always check the weather forecast before heading out, and if conditions look rough, consider delaying your trip or finding alternative transport. Make sure the rental has good tires and working windshield wipers, and drive cautiously. Have you thought about getting insurance that covers weather-related incidents? It might give you some peace of mind.
