Hi everyone, I wanted to share some good news about claiming compensation for a canceled Air France flight I booked using miles. Under EU Regulation 261/2004, I was able to claim compensation despite it being an award ticket. Has anyone else had success with this? I'm curious about the process with other airlines and if there are any tips for making the claim smoother. Also, does anyone know if this applies to flights outside the EU but operated by an EU carrier?

That's great to hear about your success with Air France! EU Regulation 261/2004 is indeed a powerful tool for passengers, even on award tickets. For other airlines, the process is quite similar—document everything, from the cancellation notice to your boarding pass. As for flights outside the EU operated by an EU carrier, the regulation still applies if your flight departs from an EU airport. Have you encountered any challenges in gathering the necessary documentation?
