I came across a 14-day Everest Base Camp trek package with A Nepal Planet Treks for $1,400 per person, which includes guides, porters, accommodation, permits, and meals. Sounds like a great deal, right? But I'm curious about other costs like international flights and travel insurance that aren’t included. Has anyone done this trek or a similar one? How did you find the overall experience, and do you think the investment is worth it considering the additional expenses? Any insights would be helpful!

That sounds like an exciting adventure! The Everest Base Camp trek is definitely a bucket list item for many. While the package fee seems reasonable, it's wise to factor in those extra costs like flights and insurance. Many trekkers also suggest budgeting for extra snacks, gear rentals, and possible extra days in case of acclimatization. Have you thought about how you'd feel tackling the altitude? It can be quite a challenge, but the views and the experience of being in the Himalayas are truly unforgettable! 🌄
