Discussion Exploring Naples and Surroundings: Any Hidden Gems?

We found Prof. Esposito via Rick Steves’ guide to Italy. Likes to be known as “Pina” – and she is a fantastic guide for the Naples region, including Pompeii and Herculaneum. But beyond these famous sites, I'm curious about lesser-known spots in the area. Has anyone explored hidden gems around Naples or the surrounding region? I'm particularly interested in places that might not be in the guidebooks but are worth the visit. Also, any tips on local cuisine or experiences that are a must-try would be greatly appreciated!
