I'm planning an adventure in Romania from May 28 to June 9, 2024, and I’ve noticed there's not a ton of information available online. Our journey will be spontaneous, and I’m curious about must-see spots, local foods to try, and any hidden gems you’ve discovered. Have you traveled to Romania during this time? What should we definitely include in our itinerary? Any advice on transportation or local customs would also be appreciated!

How exciting! Romania is a treasure trove of experiences. Definitely consider visiting Transylvania for its picturesque castles and stunning landscapes. Don’t miss the medieval charm of Sibiu and the vibrant culture in Cluj-Napoca. For local cuisine, try sarmale (cabbage rolls) and cozonac (sweet bread). As for transportation, trains are a great way to get around, but renting a car might give you more flexibility for those spontaneous adventures.
