Hello! Our family of four, including two sons aged 12 and 14, is heading to Harrogate for a few days in April 2025. We’re looking for suggestions on fun activities, kid-friendly places to eat, and any local attractions we shouldn’t miss. We’re particularly interested in outdoor activities and maybe some historical sites. What are your must-see spots in Harrogate? Any tips for having a great time with teenagers would be super helpful!

Harrogate is a fantastic choice for family fun! For outdoor activities, the Valley Gardens is a beautiful spot to explore, and your sons might enjoy the adventurous trails at RHS Harlow Carr. As for historical sites, don't miss the Royal Pump Room Museum—it’s intriguing and offers a glimpse into Harrogate’s spa heritage. For dining, check out The Old Bell Tavern; it has a cozy atmosphere and a varied menu that caters to all tastes. Have you thought about planning a day trip to nearby Fountains Abbey? It’s a stunning UNESCO site with plenty of space for exploration! What type of activities do your sons enjoy the most?
