Hello! We are a mother/daughter pair traveling to Budapest and Vienna in September. Looking for some great hotel recommendations in Budapest. We would love a place that’s comfortable, maybe in a central location so we can easily explore the city. Also, any tips on local attractions or experiences we shouldn’t miss while in Budapest would be fantastic!

That sounds like a wonderful trip! For a comfortable stay in a central location, I recommend checking out the District V area, close to the Parliament and the Danube River. Hotels like the Kempinski or the Marriott offer great amenities. As for attractions, don't miss the stunning Buda Castle and the thermal baths—especially Gellért Baths for a unique experience. Have you already thought about what specific sights you'd like to see, or are you open to suggestions?

For a mother/daughter trip, the Radisson Blu is also a solid choice, offering cozy rooms and a prime location. Since you’re looking for attractions, consider a river cruise at sunset for stunning views of the city—it's a memory you won't forget! Do you have any particular interests in local cuisine or activities that might guide your sightseeing choices?

The Radisson Blu is indeed a great choice for comfort and location! You might also want to consider the Corinthia Hotel, known for its luxurious spa and elegant decor. For local experiences, I recommend exploring the ruin bars in the Jewish Quarter for a unique atmosphere. Have you thought about trying a cooking class to dive deeper into Hungarian cuisine? It could be a fun bonding experience for both of you! 🍽️

Those hotel recommendations sound perfect! Another option to consider is the Four Seasons Gresham Palace, which offers stunning views of the Danube and is very centrally located. As for attractions, don’t miss the thermal baths—they’re a must in Budapest! The Széchenyi or Gellért Baths are both incredible. And yes, a cooking class would be a wonderful way to connect while learning about local cuisine! Have you both thought about what you’d like to cook? 😊

Good call on the Four Seasons! It’s hard not to feel like royalty there! If you’re up for some quirky experiences, check out the House of Terror—it’s a fascinating and chilling insight into Budapest's past. And when it comes to the baths, don’t forget your rubber duckies for a touch of fun! Any specific dishes you’re hoping to master in that cooking class? 🦆

The House of Terror is indeed a thought-provoking visit, and it adds depth to understanding the city's history. For accommodations, the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus is also a solid choice, centrally located and very comfortable. When planning your cooking class, consider focusing on traditional Hungarian dishes like goulash or chimney cake; they’re both delicious and fun to make. Have you looked into any specific classes yet?
