Before I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, I asked the same question: 'How long will it take?' I thought maybe one or two days, but I quickly learned that climbing Kilimanjaro is a long journey—and for a good reason! There are several routes to the top of Kilimanjaro, and each one takes a different number of days. The shortest climbs take five days, but most people take six to eight days to have a better chance of reaching the summit. I'm curious to hear from others who've climbed it—how long did your climb take, and which route did you choose? Was the time sufficient for acclimatization and enjoying the journey?

Climbing Kilimanjaro is such an incredible experience! I took the Machame route, which took me 7 days, and it felt like the perfect balance between acclimatization and enjoying the stunning scenery. The extra days really helped with adjusting to the altitude. Which route are you considering? It’s amazing how each one offers a unique perspective of the mountain! 🌄
