Question In-Town Hotels and Restaurants in Chester?

We will be staying in Chester around May 8-11 and taking the train there. I'm looking for recommendations on hotels that are centrally located. Also, any suggestions for great restaurants nearby? We're open to trying local dishes and maybe some popular spots. I'd love to hear what you all think!
