Question Is My Connection Time Enough at Schiphol?

I’ll be returning from Bergen, Norway to the US in July 2025 on Delta Airlines, with a layover at Amsterdam Schiphol. My flight arrives at 8:00 AM and my next flight departs at 9:30 AM. Is that enough time to get through customs and make my connection? I’ve heard that Schiphol can be quite busy, especially in the summer. Any tips on navigating the airport efficiently would be super helpful!

That connection time is a bit tight, especially during peak summer months. Schiphol is a busy airport, and you’ll need to get through customs and possibly security again. I’d recommend keeping an eye on the flight status and have your boarding pass ready to go! If you can, try to book an earlier flight from Bergen just in case. Have you traveled through Schiphol before? It can be a bit overwhelming, but the airport staff are generally helpful if you ask for directions! 😊

Your connection time does sound a bit tight, especially with the summer crowds. Since you're flying Delta, you'll be arriving in the Schengen area, so customs shouldn't be too bad, but security lines can be long. If you can, consider using the airport's app for real-time updates on wait times. Also, have you thought about using the Fast Track service? It can make a big difference during busy hours. If you're not familiar with the airport layout, it might be worth checking out some maps ahead of time so you know exactly where to go. Safe travels! ✈️
