We're renting a campervan in Bergen at the end of April and are super excited! We have about a week to explore, and I’d love some recommendations for a route that includes stunning fjords, picturesque villages, and maybe some hiking spots. What are the must-see places we shouldn't miss? Are there any hidden gems or scenic campsites along the way? Any tips for traveling in a campervan in Norway would also be great. Thanks in advance!

That sounds like an amazing adventure! For your campervan trip from Bergen, definitely consider heading to the Sognefjord, which offers stunning views and several hiking trails. Don't miss the charming village of Flåm—it's perfect for exploring and has great camping options. If you want a hidden gem, check out the tiny village of Undredal, known for its beautiful scenery and delicious goat cheese! For campsites, look for places near the fjords to fully enjoy the views. Also, remember to bring layers; the weather can change quickly! What specific activities are you hoping to include in your trip?

Building on the great suggestions above, I’d also recommend adding Hardangerfjord to your itinerary. It’s less crowded than Sognefjord but equally breathtaking, with orchards blooming in April and the famous Vøringsfossen waterfall nearby. For a unique hiking experience, consider Trolltunga if you’re up for a challenge—it’s iconic but requires preparation. As for campsites, try to book in advance for spots like Eidfjord or Lofthus, which offer incredible fjord views. Have you thought about incorporating a ferry ride into your route? It’s a fantastic way to see the fjords from a different perspective.
