Hello friends,

Is this border crossing currently open for an exit from Thailand and re-entry with a new stamp scenario? This would be for two Yanks; one with a retirement visa and the other on a tourist entry. We're planning this for the latter part of next month, December. I've found info online but it's been scattered and hard to interpret.

Many thanks! Feeling a bit bamboozled.

Hi there! The Mae Sot - Myawaddy border crossing is generally open for US citizens, but it’s always best to check the latest travel advisories closer to your date. Since you have one person with a retirement visa and another on a tourist entry, you might want to confirm any specific requirements for each visa type. Have you looked into local forums or social media groups for recent traveler experiences? They can provide firsthand insights and updates that official sites might not have yet. Good luck, and I hope you enjoy your trip! 🇹🇭🇲🇲
