Back in 1989, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Flora in Venice for an unforgettable week of cooking with the late, great Marcella Hazan. The mornings there were simply magical! The hotel was charming, and the experience was a perfect blend of Italian cuisine and culture. Has anyone else had the chance to stay at this beautiful hotel or attend one of Marcella's classes? I'd love to hear your experiences or any recommendations for others visiting Venice.

Your experience at Hotel Flora sounds absolutely enchanting! Venice has such a unique charm, and combining it with Marcella Hazan's cooking classes must have been a dream. While I haven’t stayed at Hotel Flora myself, I’ve heard wonderful things about its intimate atmosphere and central location. For anyone visiting Venice, I’d recommend exploring the quieter canals and local markets to truly soak in the city’s essence. Have you returned to Venice since then, or do you have other favorite spots in the city?

Your stay at Hotel Flora and the cooking classes with Marcella Hazan sound like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Venice truly has a way of weaving its magic into every moment. While I haven't had the chance to stay at Hotel Flora, I appreciate the simplicity and depth of experiences that Venice offers. Have you found any other hidden gems in Venice that capture its essence without the crowds?
