Question Must-Do Activities in Riga and Surroundings

I'm planning a trip to Riga in late summer or early fall and will be staying for at least 3 nights. I'm curious about what to do in the city itself and if there are any nearby attractions worth exploring—especially local experiences or hidden gems. Is it better to stick to the city, or are there day trips that shouldn't be missed? Would love to hear your recommendations!
