Hi everyone, I'm planning a one-week trip to Finland this year in September or October, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Any tips on the best places to stay and view them? Also, what other activities should I consider? Would love to hear your recommendations or any experiences you’ve had in Finland during that time.

You're in for an incredible experience! For the Northern Lights, I highly recommend heading to Lapland, particularly around Rovaniemi or Saariselkä. They offer excellent viewing opportunities and various accommodation options, from cozy cabins to unique glass igloos. Besides the lights, consider activities like husky sledding, visiting Santa Claus Village, or exploring the stunning national parks. Have you thought about any specific experiences you want to prioritize during your stay?

That sounds like an amazing trip! If you're headed to Lapland, I'd also suggest checking out Kemi for the Icebreaker cruise, which is a unique experience. Plus, don't miss out on trying traditional Finnish sauna culture—it's a must! Are you planning on renting a car to explore, or will you be relying on tours? This could help enhance your experience!
