My 12-year-old son and I are wrapping up a 2-week Mommy & Me trip across Europe this July, and we've decided to spend our last 4 nights exploring Antwerp and Ghent. We're looking for a mix of historical sites, fun activities for kids, and some good food spots. Not into super touristy places; prefer hidden gems and local experiences. Any recommendations on must-see places, kid-friendly activities, or where to eat? Also, any tips on getting around between the two cities would be super helpful. Can't wait to hear your suggestions!

Antwerp and Ghent are fantastic choices for a mix of history and local charm! In Antwerp, don’t miss the MAS Museum—it’s interactive and has a rooftop with stunning views that your son might love. For a hidden gem, check out the Vlaeykensgang alley; it’s like stepping back in time. In Ghent, the Gravensteen Castle is a must—kids adore the medieval vibe and the views from the top. For food, try local spots like ‘t Pakhuis in Ghent for hearty Belgian dishes. Getting around is easy by train—it’s quick and efficient between the two cities. Have you thought about renting bikes? Both cities are very bike-friendly and it’s a fun way to explore!
