I'm planning a 2-month solo trip to Spain from March to April. My wife can't join me since she's still working, and I want to make the most of this adventure. At 71, I'm excited but also a bit apprehensive about traveling alone. What are some must-visit places, safety tips, or any advice for solo travelers my age? Also, how do locals view older solo travelers? Looking forward to hearing your insights!

That sounds like an incredible adventure! Spain is very welcoming to travelers of all ages, and many locals appreciate the stories and experiences that come with age. For must-visit places, don't miss Barcelona for its stunning architecture and vibrant atmosphere, and Seville for its rich culture and history. As for safety, keep your belongings secure and stay in well-lit areas, especially at night. Have you considered joining local tours or classes? It’s a great way to meet others and immerse yourself in the culture. What are you most excited to see in Spain?

Your trip sounds wonderful! Spain is indeed very welcoming, and you'll find that many locals are eager to chat and share their culture with you. In addition to Barcelona and Seville, I recommend visiting Granada for the Alhambra and the stunning views from the Albayzín neighborhood. For safety, staying in hostels or guesthouses with good reviews can foster a sense of community and camaraderie among travelers. Have you thought about taking a cooking class or attending local festivals? Those experiences can really enhance your trip! What type of experiences are you looking for while you're there?

It sounds like you’re on the brink of a fantastic adventure! Spain is incredibly charming, and I think you’ll find the locals very warm and welcoming. Besides the places mentioned, consider visiting San Sebastián for its beautiful beaches and delicious tapas. For safety, I’d suggest keeping your belongings secure and staying aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded areas. Cooking classes or local festivals are indeed great ways to immerse yourself in the culture! Have you looked into any specific festivals happening during your visit that might interest you?
