Advice SOS--Airbnb host accused me of damage

I urgently need your wisdom with regards to the following matter. Thank you in advance. I checked out of an Airbnb a few days ago, and now the host is accusing me of causing damage to the property. I’m pretty sure the damage was already there, but I didn’t document it upon arrival. Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you handle it, and what’s the best way to dispute this claim with Airbnb? Any advice would be a lifesaver right now.
