We had a trip booked pre-pandemic to fly into St. Petersburg for a few days, but obviously that didn't happen due to the circumstances. Now that things are opening up, I'm hopeful for a future visit. I'm looking for insights on the must-see attractions, local dining spots, and any hidden gems in the city. What are your recommendations for making the most of a few days in St. Petersburg? Any tips for navigating the city or cultural etiquette would also be greatly appreciated!

St. Petersburg is a treasure trove of culture! Definitely don’t miss the Hermitage Museum and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood; they’re iconic. For local dining, try some traditional Russian cuisine at places like Palkin or a cozy spot like Teplo, which has a lovely atmosphere. As for hidden gems, check out the Peterhof Gardens—it's stunning in the spring! Navigating the city can be easy with the metro, but be aware that signs may not always be in English. Speaking a few phrases in Russian can also go a long way. Have you thought about taking a canal tour? It’s a unique way to see the city!
