Question Two-Week Itinerary Help for Puglia in May 2025

Hey everyone! I'm gearing up for my first trip to Puglia in May 2025 and I've got a bit of an itinerary started. I'll be arriving in Bari on May 7th, then spending some time in Trani from the 7th to the 11th. I’m really keen on seeing as much as I can, but since I’m relying on public transport, I’m a bit stuck on how to get around, especially if I want to visit Vieste. Has anyone traveled in the area and have suggestions on interesting sights or how to navigate the public transport system? Any tips would be super helpful!

That sounds like an amazing trip! Puglia has so much to offer. For public transport, you can use the Ferrovie del Sud Est trains that connect many towns. Vieste is a bit trickier, but you can take a train to Peschici and then a bus to Vieste. Make sure to check the local schedules since they can vary. As for sights, don’t miss the stunning beaches and the unique trulli houses in Alberobello. Have you thought about visiting Matera? It’s a bit further but absolutely worth it for its incredible cave dwellings!
