Advice What to Wear Above the Arctic Circle?

This year, we're embarking on a 14-day 'Best of Scandinavia' tour, wrapping up on September 15th. We're super excited but also a bit clueless about what to pack, especially for the parts above the Arctic Circle. I've heard the weather can be quite unpredictable. Does anyone have tips on what to wear to stay comfortable and prepared for anything? Are there any must-have items or brands you'd recommend for layering? Also, how about footwear – should we prioritize waterproof over insulated? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Layering is key above the Arctic Circle, especially in September when the weather can swing dramatically. Start with a moisture-wicking base layer, add a warm fleece or wool mid-layer, and top it off with a waterproof and windproof outer shell. Brands like Patagonia and Arc'teryx are reliable for these layers. For footwear, go for waterproof hiking boots with good insulation—Merrell and Salomon are solid choices. Don’t forget accessories like a warm hat, gloves, and a scarf. Packing smart will keep you comfortable and ready for anything the Arctic throws your way.
