We're planning a trip to Zermatt from April 15-17, 2025, and then heading to Berner Oberland. I’m a bit overwhelmed with options and wondering what are the best areas to consider for accommodations? We’re looking for a mix of stunning views and easy access to hiking trails. Should we stay in Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, or maybe somewhere else? Any recommendations on hotels or guesthouses would also be super helpful!

Staying in Lauterbrunnen is a fantastic choice! It’s surrounded by stunning waterfalls and gives you easy access to trails like the one to Mürren. Grindelwald is also great, especially if you enjoy picturesque mountain views and a lively village atmosphere. For accommodations, I recommend checking out Hotel Oberland in Lauterbrunnen or Hotel Gletschergarten in Grindelwald for comfort and great views. Have you thought about what type of amenities are most important for your stay?

Both Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald have their unique charms! If you’re driving, consider staying in Wengen too; it’s car-free and offers breathtaking views. You can easily access hiking trails from there. Plus, the scenic train ride from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen is worth the experience! What kind of activities are you most excited about? Hiking, photography, or maybe some local cuisine? 😄

Wengen is a lovely option if you're seeking a quieter atmosphere with stunning views! It feels like a hidden gem with less foot traffic and easy access to the hiking trails. Plus, the peace and tranquility are unmatched! If you're into local cuisine, make sure to try some Swiss fondue in the area. What specific sights are you most looking forward to in Berner Oberland? 🏞️
