Discussion Why No Rick Steves Episodes on Slovakia and Romania?

Hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone knew why Rick has not done episodes on Slovakia and Romania. Both countries have such rich histories and beautiful landscapes, yet they seem to be overlooked in his series. Does anyone have insights into why this might be the case? Also, if you've traveled to these countries, what are some must-see places that could make for great TV content?

That's a great question! Rick Steves tends to focus on destinations that are more popular with American travelers, which might explain why Slovakia and Romania haven't been featured yet. Both countries are absolute gems, though. In Slovakia, the High Tatras and Spiš Castle are stunning, while Romania's Transylvania region and the painted monasteries of Bucovina are incredibly photogenic. Maybe it's time for a fan campaign to get him to visit! Have you been to either country?
