My wife and I are booked on a Viking Nile River cruise. Some of their on-shore activities are described as involving a bit of walking or light hiking. We're debating whether to bring hiking poles. Has anyone been on a similar trip and found them helpful, or are they just extra luggage? We're especially curious about the terrain around the temples and historical sites. Any insights would be appreciated!
