Question Best Way to Get from Turkey to Santorini?

Our family of six will be visiting Turkey for 10 days, and then traveling to Greece for a week. We're particularly interested in visiting Santorini. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get there from Turkey. Are there direct ferries, or would flying be a better option? Also, if anyone has experience with the border crossing or any tips for traveling between these two countries with kids, that would be super helpful.
