We just finished 8 nights in York at an excellent Airbnb one bedroom apartment. The owners renovated it themselves, and the attention to detail was amazing—modern yet cozy, and just a short walk from the city center. We also spent a couple of nights in Hexham at this quirky hotel that felt like stepping back in time. It had this old-world charm with a twist of modern amenities. Has anyone else stayed in unique accommodations in these areas? I'd love to hear about your finds or if you've been to these spots!
