We're two travelers in our 60s planning a trip to Scandinavia at the end of June and early July, and we're particularly interested in exploring Central Denmark and Jutland. Can anyone share advice on the best modes of transport for this area? Should we rent a car, or is public transport reliable and convenient? We're looking for a mix of ease and the ability to see some beautiful sights along the way. Any personal experiences or recommendations would be super helpful!

Exploring Central Denmark sounds wonderful! Renting a car can give you the flexibility to visit picturesque towns like Aarhus and Viborg at your own pace. However, the public transport system, particularly trains and buses, is quite reliable. Have you considered doing a mix of both? Maybe start with a rail pass for a few days to hit major spots and then rent a car for more off-the-beaten-path adventures. It could be a great way to balance convenience with the spontaneity of exploring hidden gems! What are some sights you're most excited to see?
